A Relaxing Stay in the Heart of Miami Beach 🌴

During our trip to Miami, we stayed at Catalina Hotel & Beach Club for a total of seven days and six nights, three days before our Caribbean cruise and four days after returning. This gave us plenty of time to experience both the hotel and everything Miami Beach has to offer.

Overall, we had a pleasant stay, and the hotel's location was definitely one of its biggest strengths.

The Room

Our room was spacious and equipped with two large single beds, making it comfortable for both of us. There was also a television, air conditioning, a wardrobe area for hanging clothes, and a private bathroom.

The room had everything we needed for a comfortable stay after long days of sightseeing.

Bathroom

The bathroom was clean and practical, although one feature wasn't our favourite.

The shower was permanently fixed to the ceiling, meaning it couldn't be adjusted or used as a handheld shower. While this may not bother everyone, we found it a little inconvenient, especially when trying to rinse off after spending the day at the beach.

Wi-Fi and TV

One downside during our stay was the internet connection. The Wi-Fi occasionally disconnected, and the television signal was sometimes unstable as well.

These weren't major issues since we spent most of our time exploring Miami, but they were noticeable when we wanted to relax in the evenings.

Facilities

The hotel has a swimming pool, which is perfect for cooling off after a warm day in Florida.

One small detail we really liked was the toiletries provided in the room. The soap had a fresh orange scent, which felt different from the more typical hotel toiletries and was a nice touch.

Breakfast wasn't included in our stay, but that wasn't a problem. Since the hotel is located in the heart of Miami Beach, there are plenty of cafés, restaurants, and bakeries just a short walk away.

Location

One of the hotel's greatest advantages is its location.

It is within walking distance of Miami Beach, restaurants, cafés, shops, and many popular attractions. We rarely needed transportation, making it easy to explore the area on foot.

My Tips

🌴 Bring beachwear, the beach is only a short walk away.

🚶 Explore the surrounding neighbourhood on foot, as many attractions are nearby.

🍳 If breakfast isn't included, there are plenty of excellent cafés within walking distance.

📶 Don't rely entirely on the hotel's Wi-Fi if you need a stable internet connection for work or video calls.

⭐⭐⭐⭐☆ (4/5)

Despite a few small inconveniences with the shower and internet connection, we had a comfortable stay. The excellent location, friendly atmosphere, and comfortable room made Catalina Hotel & Beach Club a great base for exploring Miami Beach.

I would happily stay here again, especially because of its convenient location close to the beach and everything Miami has to offer.
