Togetherness Is the Most Important Journey at Christmas

Christmas isn't always about traveling far. Sometimes, the most important journey is the one we take toward each other.
At Inkluderende Reiser (Inclusive Travel), I often talk about experiences without barriers. And I believe Christmas gives us a unique opportunity to live that out. Barriers don't just exist as staircases or airports. They also take the form of silence, loneliness, or the feeling of being outside the community.
When we choose to open the door for others, we break down those barriers. It doesn't have to be big, a dinner, a walk outside, or simply a "Merry Christmas" to someone you don't know very well.
I believe Christmas reminds us of what truly matters: not how many gifts are under the tree, but how many people feel seen.
Ways we can build togetherness at Christmas:
🌟 Make room for those who might otherwise be left out.
🧑🤝🧑 Build community in small groups, it doesn't have to be big to be meaningful.
🕊️ Remember that silence can also be shared, just being together can be enough.
💙 Allow space for both laughter and seriousness, Christmas holds both.
For me, this is the heart of it: Christmas isn't primarily a holiday for gifts, it's a holiday for community.
