Loneliness: You're Not Alone

Many people experience loneliness, even if we rarely talk about it. It can mean sitting at home alone, but it can also mean feeling isolated in the middle of a crowd.
I've met many people who feel left out, young adults, older people, and those in between. The common thread is the longing for connection: someone to talk to, someone to share experiences with. Loneliness hurts, and it's actually more common than we might think.
Research shows that about one in three adults experiences loneliness, and one in four says they lack the social support they need (CDC). Prolonged loneliness doesn't just affect your mood, it impacts health too: increasing the risk of depression and anxiety, and making the body more vulnerable to illness (Campaign to End Loneliness).
I don't believe loneliness can always be "fixed" overnight, but I do believe in small steps. A walk in nature with someone, a coffee, or a group trip where you can feel part of a community. Small experiences can lead to big changes.
At Inkluderende Reiser, this is central to my mission: creating spaces for connection and safety so more people can experience the world, without feeling alone.
