🥂 Hadeland Glassverk: Art, Shopping & Food in Jevnaker

I went with a friend to Hadeland Glassverk in Jevnaker. This is a place where both production and sales of glass take place, and they are especially known for their wide selection of glass products.

Experiences on Site

At Hadeland Glassverk, you'll find many different shops, a café, and a restaurant. They also often host art exhibitions. The shops sell almost everything you can imagine made of glass, lamps, vases, cups, decorative items, and more.

In addition, you can buy locally produced goods such as cured meats, juices, honey, handmade candy, candles, and clothes. It's also possible to blow your own glass, a fun activity for both adults and kids. For the youngest visitors, there was even a small one-man show.

Tips:

• Take your time exploring all the shops, the selection is huge.

• Try blowing your own glass for a unique experience.

• Hadeland Glassverk is a great place to find gifts or souvenirs.

Food and Restaurants

There are several food options on-site. We ate at a pizza restaurant, where I ordered spicy chicken pizza. It was far too spicy for me (should have known better 😅), but otherwise the food was good. You can also buy waffles and sweets in the area.

On the way out, we bought lollipops and some candy, both sugar-free and regular.

Tips:

• Try the waffles, they're a classic at Hadeland Glassverk.

• Ask the staff for recommendations if you're unsure about how spicy a dish is.

• Bring home some local sweets or treats, perfect as gifts or snacks.

Summary

Even though much of the area was closed for renovations when we visited, it was still a lovely and cozy trip. Here you can learn a bit about glassmaking, shop for local products, enjoy good food, and spend quality time with a friend.
